The Nature of Oaks: The Rich Ecology of our Most Essential Native Trees ZOOM LECTURE

We all have a famous person that we would love to have dinner with, if we had our wish. For me it would be brunch with Doug Tallamy, and how lucky am I ?…that wish has come true! The really great thing is YOU CAN JOIN US FOR SUNDAY BRUNCH TOO. The only catch is, you have to stay in your house and cook your own brunch but hey…you get to keep your slippers on. It’s a ZOOM LECTURE.

Enough of my wish list, we are SO fortunate to have Doug Tallamy joining us in HIS slippers on a lovely Sunday morning to talk about his newest book and favorite tree, our native oaks.

With his book launching on March 30, we get to hear all about it LIVE from the author on Sunday, March 28 at 12:00 noon.

With Bringing Nature Home, Doug Tallamy changed the conversation about gardening in America. His second book, the New York Times bestseller Nature’s Best Hope, urged homeowners to take conservation into their own hands. Now, he is turning his advocacy to one of the most important species of the plant kingdom—the mighty oak tree.

Oaks sustain a complex and fascinating web of wildlife. The Nature of Oaks reveals what is going on in oak trees… from woodpeckers who collect and store hundreds of acorns for sustenance to the beauty of jewel caterpillars, Tallamy illuminates and celebrates the wonders that occur right in our own backyards.

The Nature of Oaks will inspire you to treasure these trees and to act to nurture and protect them.

I hope you will join us for this wonderful Sunday brunch ZOOM with our friend Dr. Tallamy.
