Brunch & Learn: The Living Landscape with Rick Darke

Douglas W. Tallamy's award-winning Bringing Nature Home revealed the pressing need for a biodiverse home landscape. Aspetuck Land Trust’s Green Corridor Initiative has taken that message and given people the key action steps to improve biodiversity in their yards. Rick Darke’s The Living Landscape supports this message by showing gardeners HOW to make it happen.

The Living Landscape greatly expands on Darke's American Woodland Garden and The Wild Garden: Expanded Edition, and Tallamy's Bringing Nature Home to present an inclusive vision of the vital roles native plants can play in beautiful, ecologically sound, and broadly functional residential landscape design.

Creating connectivity across the larger landscape by transforming our yards into the beautiful and healthy connective tissue between our protected preserves is the key to improving biodiversity. Our yards and private properties can be the key to ecological healing, or can be the toxic, barren landscape that breaks the web of life. The choice is ours.

Join us March 13 and be inspired to transform your land.
