“21st Century Conservation Issues: A Reckoning with Public Access to Open Space.”
Gerald Torres, Director, Yale University Center for Environmental Justice
Around the country, there are organizations like Aspetuck Land Trust striving to preserve the beauty and ecological health of open space for the benefit of all. But are we succeeding for everyone? Do all people in our community have the ability to enjoy our preserves and have access to land? Are we missing an opportunity to enhance and extend the Green Corridor and engage with our neighboring communities?
Professor Torres will help us try to answer these difficult questions and we’ll discuss how Aspetuck Land Trust is addressing these important issues.
