Lunch & Learn: Designing with Native Plants in Deer Country

Deer are maybe not so cute after they have mowed down all of the new plantings in your garden overnight! We of course want to welcome nature into our yards, but sometimes the deer can go overboard at our garden buffet.

Join us on Wednesday, Sept 7th at noon for a very engaging Lunch & Learn with veteran landscape designer Brid Craddock from Growing Solutions. She will tell us the whole truth (hard to find these days) about what plants are deer-proof and what tried-and-true techniques she has used to keep Bambi away from our native plants! Deer in Newtown behave differently from deer in Westport and Old Lyme…what’s a gardener to do?

Grab some lunch and get the real scoop from a fabulous landscape designer who has seen it all and is willing to share her garden secrets.
